Is there any way to tell if Reader or Acrobat has any of the font packs installed and if so which ones? I have Acrobat Pro 7.1.0 and Reader 8.1. I had someone ask if I had installed the Japanese font pack. I have four systems and couldn't tell him which font packs were on any of the systems. I know I get a message if one is needed but how can you tell in advance?
Are font packs used just so you can view a document or can you edit one if they are installed? I saw that you can "interact" but wasn't certain what all of that meant.
Where are they installed? Are they buried in the Reader code or are they actually on your system? If so, where? I have 3 PCs running XP and one Mac ibook G4 running Tiger.
I went to the Adobe site at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/acrrasianfontpack.html and saw how to download in advance and it helpful in describing what each font pack includes.
Thanks, Glenn
