Whenever I open my Acrobat 6 Standard, I get two errors as the program is loading:
1. There was an error while opening PaperMetaData.api. The plug-in failed to initialize. 2. There was an error while opening PPKLite.api. The plug-in failed to initialize.
Then Acrobat seems to open OK afterwards. But I have to acknowledge the two dialogs first.
I have tried Detect and Repair, which does nothing. I have also tried to reinstall from the original disk and get this error:
Windows Installer. The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.
So I can't even reinstall. I get the same error when I try to uninstall from Add/Remove programs.
I'm on XP Pro with all updates installed and have the latest updates for Acrobat 6.
I'd appreciate some suggestions on how to get rid of the two plug-in errors at least.
Thanks!
