Tom,
There will never be any plug-ins to provide these facilities for the Reader as developers that licence the developers kit from Adobe would be breaking the licence agreement.

(My opinion) Since PDF is a "page description" format, I am pretty sure that the act of adding a page with fonts embedded will not affect other pages in the same document. (You might be able to do this by "redefining" the fonts already in the document, but that's another story.)
I am not aware of any add-ons for the Reader which will allow for the addition of notes, bookmarks, etc. to PDF files. Exchange is the only way to go (that I know of).

Hi
Is there any way of adding font embedding to a pdf file I have tried importing a page with the fonts embedded to a document but this has no effect on the other pages
Is there a plug in that allows the reader to add notes to a pdf document or do I have to get all my clients adobe exchange
