Claris has a free demo download of Home Page 3.0 at www.claris.com (or .net). Open a blank window and drag and drop the pdf file names into it. If you select multiple files they will appear on one line with a space and you can insert paragraph breaks. You can also type info for each file. It's as easy as using a word process.
There's a button to click to open the page in your favorite browser.
On further tinkering I found a command called Upload Folder to Site. All you have to do is select the pdf folder and it creates a web site for you and I think you can use Claris Home Page to upload that folder to your ftp site. You can also add pages to the site.
