Re[2]: Archive vs. Portability PS settings
On Win95 and Acrobat 3.0, I can't distill a PS file generated from Frame with the Adobe driver set to Optimize for Speed. I get:
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: FmPA ]%%
Or "FmD2" as the offender. I can distill with the Portability or Archive settings, but I get a warning about Named Destinations defined more than once.

Unfortunately, at this point, the only available PostScript driver for NT 4.0 is the PScript driver that ships with NT 4.0. My personal opinion is that NT as a professional publishing platform really awaits NT 5.0. In the meantime, Windows'95 with AdobePS and ATM 4.0 is certainly much more stable than Windows 3.x ever was and (no flames from Mac fans, please) more stable than Mac 7.5.x is. I know that it is fashionable these days to claim that you are running NT and certainly as a
server it does very well, but on the desktop and laptop, it doesn't yet have enough publishing-friendly PostScript creature comforts. Microsoft and Adobe are definitely working together to remedy that ...
