Re: Acrobat 7 Keeps Losing a Required Component
For about the third time now since I upgraded to Acrobat Pro V.7 for Mac, this afternoon, when I tried to convert a Postscript File to a PDF, I received then following message:
"Error
A required component was not found. Please restore the Adobe Acrobat Distiller Folder from your original CD."
In about three other cases, when trying to open a PDF file, I received a similar message telling me that a required component was not found that that I had to reinstall Acrobat.
After reinstalling, everything is fine... until the next time.
I have not moved or renamed any of the files that Acrobat installed. As an experiment, before reinstalling Acrobat, I tried repairing the disk directory, first using Apple's Disk Utility, then using Diskwarrior That made no difference with regard to the above-quoted error message.
Why do Acrobat and Distiller keep losing (or losing track of) files?
