I'm sure you'll get some response on this. I wanted to make two points:
* I released two CD products for customers recently, both in December. Acrobat Reader installers were included. As of February, the Reader software was out of date (a plug-in had been updated). Moral: To keep 100% current, web distribution is almost the only answer. This is because the technology changes so fast. I agree that the download is a pain for modem users, but in applications where keeping current is a priority, it may be the only choice.
* You should be aware that the PDF Viewer plug-in requires the Acrobat Reader application to run in the background. Downloading the plug-in alone is not an option. (Somebody stone me if I'm wrong.)
