First Point: immediately subscribe to the Framers list consisting of FrameMaker pros and me, a three month newbie... Maybe some trick like setting up to text sets, one for printing and one for on screen.

Second, make sure that you've set your preferences in Distiller to include fonts.
Third: fonts, on screen, in a pdf file will look no better than then do in your other documents. Make a copy and change your paragraph font settings to a more suitable font.
