Thanks. I learned some of this a minute ago talking to Acrobat support. I kept asking the guy what features wouldn't be allowed if I chose Acrobat 3 v. 4. He seemed to think it was the same either way but if I chose Acrobat 4 it would force those with Reader 3.0 to upgrade. Thanks for the comment on productivity features. I am guessing by that that you are referring to full-version Acrobat features regarding changing the document, as opposed to customers just viewing a pdf with Acrobat Reader. If I choose Acrobat 3 compatibility, then I don't prevent the customer using Reader from seeing some of my document's features, I hope. I created the pdf in Acrobat 4. I think you are saying that for just using the pdf for the purpose of being read in Reader by a customer, it's ok to choose version 3 compatibility. Choosing 4 apparently is more relevant for others who will be altering the file in full Acrobat.
