In response to your question: >Why not use F2 or another function key and not try to override a long >time default? I believe F1 has been used as the help key on Windows for a >long time. UNIX?
We've used F1 in UNIX this way for more than 10 years. In fact, function keys on UNIX and VAX OS's have had entirely different uses for much longer than Windows has been around. So there's no "overriding" of a long time default. Sure, we could totally change our code, our documentation, and the long time convention our customers are used to - but it would be much more advantagous if we could simply defeat the function key operation of Acrobat.
Anyone else know of anything?
