Re: HTML formatted text - Was "Neat, fast..."
Folks, I'm the person that originally requested help on a subject called "Neat, fast, link generator wanted." I'm pretty easy going and just interested in getting help and helping with Acrobat. However, the ONLY person to respond happened to reply to my post in HTML. Well, I don't like reading HTML in this list anymore than the next person, but if that is the only way I can get an answer I guess I'm happy about that. Now the focus is on how someone answered, but not on helping with my question.
I have been guilty of submitting an HTML formatted question once or twice and I try to remember to use text only. I have been reminded to please not do it each time. I apologize and say I will try harder. I'm also on the digest version and have forgotten to change the subject line. Again, an apology. I will try harder.
Could a solution be that the list software convert HTML posts to text before posting. One click in IE and HTML posts are converted to plain text - no hassle. It certainly seems like it wouldn't be too difficult. But, if it isn't feasible for any reason, so be it. Just scroll past and focus on the purpose of this list. Let's also not fall into the trap of which platform, which browser, is better.
I pray this doesn't go out in HTML.
Regards, Glenn Heckard
