Yes there are Black Boxes in PDF on WinNT. Because there are some video cards and drivers on the NT that are not compatible with PDF. Please call Adobe Tech Support and they will give you a list for NT. Or check the http://www.adobe.com web site. And download the tech notes. I am sorry I do not have a better answer.
Acrobats-- Here's a strange problem I've encountered. I have a PDF file I created with Distiller. The fonts are all Type 1. I read it fine with Exchange and Reader on my computer (Win 95 with ATM 4.0). But my colleague (Win NT 4.0) sees only black boxes (with Acrobat Reader) where I see text. In fact, he tried Acrobat Reader on PDF files on the Acrobat reader CD-ROM and also saw only black boxes, though he sees graphics OK. I don't know where to begin (have tries unistalling/installing) to look. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance. - --Alex -- D.C.
