Dunno, but it won't hurt your system to try. (If it doesn't work, you'll get a PostScript printing error.)

That's no problem. I have about 4 or 5 different versions of the LW drivers in my system...sometimes one works better than another, I've found, especially when you need to run two different versions of an app (like Quark 3.32 and Quark 4).
You won't have a naming problem (since in your case one is called PSPrinter and the other is LaserWriter 8), but because I use multiple versions of the LaserWriter 8.X (in addition to Adobe's PS Printer), I usually re-name the LW ones by adding the version to the end (LaserWriter 8.31, LaserWriter 8.42, etc.).
IOW, the Mac OS is surprisingly flexible for users who need to muck around with the files that appear in the Chooser. You can even change the files' icons if you want, something that manufacturers do when they customize a base LW driver for their printer.
