Are you saying that NO previously created PDF file will open with Acrobat 5, but those created with Acrobat 5 on that system will open?
What do you mean by "simply will not open?" Double-clicking doesn't invoke Acrobat? Error message? What?
Also, did you do an in-place upgrade from Windows'98 to Windows 2000 or did you do a clean install? The in-place "upgrade" from any other version of Windows to Windows 2000 is tenuous at best. We recommend a clean install which implies that you backup your system, reformat the partition that will contain the OS, install Windows 2000 in that partition and THEN reinstall all applications, utilities, and drivers. At that point, if your data was in the same partition, restore the data (but not any applications) from the backup you previously made.
