I'm running acrobat 5.05 and Os 10.2.2 and don't see that problem at all, i used to get that with explorer 5 but, just out of interest i tried acrobat now and it work without any problems at all.
It was a little slow to respond even with the 512mb or ram in there, but it certainly wasn't greyed out.
