There has been a freely downloadable Acrobat Reader for Linux for a long time. Acrobat 4.0 Reader is available now.
I suggest you look on the Adobe Web site regarding other Acrobat products for Linux.
If you want to "distill" PostScript to PDF, and don't need optimization, there are alternatives to Acrobat Distiller. A freely available one, Aladdin Ghostscript 6.0, will be going into beta test around the end of this week. For more information, please e-mail me privately.
I also suggest you check out the extensive list of non-Adobe PDF tools at pdfzone.com.
