I have now double-checked w/my printer's manufacturer and they said, YES, it was old and had a PostScript ! emulation =85 hence, it just cannot handle the contemporary descriptions. I need to purchase a newer printer would even enjoy PosScript 3 but for the Mac environment it is waaaay costly. Like $1300+ so I've found a barely used (few sheets) HP5MP for $625 =85 there are others if anyone is interested. Thanks for the help everyone Jack Fulton
